| Common Name | 4-(2-{[3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}ethyl)-5-ethenyl-6-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylic acid |
|---|
| Description | Grandifloroside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. 4-(2-{[3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}ethyl)-5-ethenyl-6-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylic acid is found in Sinoadina racemosa. Grandifloroside is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
