These are carboxylic acids containing exactly four carboxyl groups. (9r,13s,15r,16r,17r,18s)-18-(acetyloxy)-16-[(1r)-1-hydroxy-1-[(2s)-5-methyl-6-oxo-2,3-dihydropyran-2-yl]ethyl]-8,8,13,17-tetramethyl-6-oxo-7-oxatetracyclo[10.7.0.0³,⁹.0¹³,¹⁷]nonadeca-1(12),2,4,10-tetraen-15-yl acetate is found in Kadsura heteroclita.
