| Description | (1R)-1-{[(5R,7S,9R)-4,9-dimethyl-8-oxo-4,10-diazatetracyclo[8.6.1.0⁵,¹⁷.0¹¹,¹⁶]Heptadeca-1(17),11,13,15-tetraen-7-yl]methyl}-6-hydroxy-1H,2H,3H,4H,9H-pyrido[3,4-b]indole-2-carbaldehyde belongs to the class of organic compounds known as harmala alkaloids. Harmala alkaloids are compounds with a structure based on harmaline, harmine, harmalol, harman or a derivative of those parents. These parents are beta-carbolines, consisting of a pyrimidine fused to the pyrrole moiety of an indole to form a pyrido[3,4-b]indole. (1r)-1-{[(5r,7s,9r)-4,9-dimethyl-8-oxo-4,10-diazatetracyclo[8.6.1.0⁵,¹⁷.0¹¹,¹⁶]heptadeca-1(17),11,13,15-tetraen-7-yl]methyl}-6-hydroxy-1h,3h,4h,9h-pyrido[3,4-b]indole-2-carbaldehyde is found in Strychnos johnsonii. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R)-1-{[(5R,7S,9R)-4,9-dimethyl-8-oxo-4,10-diazatetracyclo[8.6.1.0⁵,¹⁷.0¹¹,¹⁶]Heptadeca-1(17),11,13,15-tetraen-7-yl]methyl}-6-hydroxy-1H,2H,3H,4H,9H-pyrido[3,4-b]indole-2-carbaldehyde. |
