These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the isocopalane (Tetradecahydro-1,1,4a,7,8,8a-hexamethylphenanthrene) or the 15,16-epoxyisocopalane skeleton. methyl (1r,2s,4ar,4bs,7r,8s,8ar,10ar)-7-{2-[2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy]-2-oxoethyl}-2-hydroxy-1,4a,8-trimethyl-9-oxo-decahydro-2h-phenanthrene-1-carboxylate is found in Erythrophleum africanum.
