These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. 7-{[5-(1,2-dihydroxyethyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-6-methoxy-2-phenylchromen-4-one is found in Scutellaria squarrosa. 7-{[5-(1,2-Dihydroxyethyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-6-methoxy-2-phenyl-4H-chromen-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
