These are lignans with a structure that contains either a tetrahydrofuran ring, a furan ring, or a furofuan ring system, that arises from the joining of the two phenylpropanoid units. (6r,7s,7ar)-6-[(1r,3ar,4r,6ar)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-7a-{4-[(1s,3as,4r,6as)-4-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-2-methoxyphenoxy}-7-hydroxy-6,7-dihydro-2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-one is found in Zanthoxylum simulans. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (6R,7S,7aR)-6-[(1R,3aR,4R,6aR)-4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-7a-{4-[(1S,3aS,4R,6aS)-4-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-2-methoxyphenoxy}-7-hydroxy-5,6,7,7a-tetrahydro-2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-one. |
