These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains at least 22 carbon atoms. psyllic acid is found in Pedalium murex, Rhizophora apiculata and Tripterygium wilfordii. Psyllic acid is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
