Description2-(12-Hydroxytridecyl)-3-methoxy-3,4-dihydroquinolin-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroquinolines. These are derivatives of quinoline in which in which at least one double bond in the quinoline moiety are reduced by adding two hydrogen atoms. 2-(12-hydroxytridecyl)-3-methoxy-3h-quinolin-4-one is found in Spathelia excelsa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-(12-hydroxytridecyl)-3-methoxy-3,4-dihydroquinolin-4-one.
