Description(2R,3S,4R,5R,6S)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl (2S)-2-(6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)propanoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as o-glycosyl compounds. These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a O-glycosidic bond. (2r,3s,4r,5r,6s)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl (2s)-2-(6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)propanoate is found in Panax ginseng. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2R,3S,4R,5R,6S)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl (2S)-2-(6-methoxynaphthalen-2-yl)propanoate.
