Glutamine and derivatives are compounds containing glutamine or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of glutamine at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. methyl 2-amino-4-{[3-(hydroxymethyl)-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-yl](methyl)carbamoyl}butanoate is found in Euscaphis japonica. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Euscamine B.
