They include 1-aryltetralin lactones. 2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-10-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-4,6,13-trioxatetracyclo[7.7.0.0³,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]hexadeca-1,3(7),8-trien-12-one is found in Bursera simaruba and Podophyllum peltatum. 2-{[3,4,5-Trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-10-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-4,6,13-trioxatetracyclo[7.7.0.0³,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Hexadeca-1,3(7),8-trien-12-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
