DescriptionPodocarp-7-en-3-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydrophenanthrenes. These are a phenanthrene derivative where at least one ring CC bond is substituted by hydrogenation. (4ar,4bs,8ar,10as)-1,1,4a-trimethyl-4,4b,5,6,8a,9,10,10a-octahydro-2h-phenanthren-3-one was first documented in 2020 (PMID: 31585801). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on podocarp-7-en-3-one.
