These are isoflavanones featuring a C5-isoprenoid unit at the 6-position. 3-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,9-dihydroxy-8,8-dimethyl-6-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-9h,10h-pyrano[2,3-h]chromen-4-one is found in Erythrina senegalensis. 5-(2,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-8,13-dihydroxy-12,12-dimethyl-9-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-3,11-dioxatricyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁷]Tetradeca-1(10),2(7),4,8-tetraen-6-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
