These parents are beta-carbolines, consisting of a pyrimidine fused to the pyrrole moiety of an indole to form a pyrido[3,4-b]indole. (1r,3s)-1-methyl-1h,2h,3h,4h,9h-pyrido[3,4-b]indole-3-carboxylic acid is found in Lepidium meyenii. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on UNII-QM1A4NN056.
