DescriptionHericenone B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoindolones. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds that an isoindole bearing a ketone. 6-[(2e)-3,7-dimethyl-5-oxoocta-2,6-dien-1-yl]-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2-(2-phenylethyl)-3h-isoindol-1-one is found in Hericium erinaceus. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36116068). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Hericenone B (PMID: 36116067) (PMID: 36116066) (PMID: 36116065) (PMID: 36116064).
