DescriptionOxothalicarpine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aporphines. These are quinoline alkaloids containing the dibenzo[de,g]quinoline ring system or a dehydrogenated derivative thereof. 5-(2-{[(1s)-6,7-dimethoxy-2-methyl-3,4-dihydro-1h-isoquinolin-1-yl]methyl}-4,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)-4,15,16-trimethoxy-10-azatetracyclo[7.7.1.0²,⁷.0¹³,¹⁷]heptadeca-1(16),2(7),3,5,9(17),10,12,14-octaen-8-one is found in Hernandia ovigera. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Oxothalicarpine.
