DescriptionElaphopilosin-A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkyl-phenylketones. These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one alkyl group, and a phenyl group. 2-butanoyl-4-[(3-butanoyl-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxyphenyl)methyl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-6-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)cyclohexa-2,4-dien-1-one is found in Elaphoglossum spatulatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on elaphopilosin-A.
