Description | 7-(Furan-3-yl)-4-methyl-1-(7-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzofuran-7-yl)hept-4-en-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzofurans. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring fused to a furan. Furan is a five-membered aromatic ring with four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. 7-(furan-3-yl)-4-methyl-1-(7-methyl-5,6-dihydro-4h-1-benzofuran-7-yl)hept-4-en-2-one is found in Spongia officinalis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7-(furan-3-yl)-4-methyl-1-(7-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzofuran-7-yl)hept-4-en-2-one. |
