Description | 4-Bromo-1,4a-dimethyl-7-methylidene-8-(propan-2-yl)-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,10,12a-dodecahydrobenzo[10]annulen-1-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tertiary alcohols. Tertiary alcohols are compounds in which a hydroxy group, -OH, is attached to a saturated carbon atom R3COH (R not H ). 4-bromo-8-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-7-methylidene-3,4,5,6,8,9,10,12a-octahydro-2h-benzo[10]annulen-1-ol is found in Sphaerococcus coronopifolius. 4-Bromo-1,4a-dimethyl-7-methylidene-8-(propan-2-yl)-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,7,8,9,10,12a-dodecahydrobenzo[10]annulen-1-ol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
