Description3-(2-Hydroxy-6-methylphenyl)-6a-methyl-9-(2-methyloctanoyl)-6H,6aH,8H,9H,9aH-furo[2,3-h]isochromene-6,8-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as meta cresols. These are aromatic compounds containing a meta-cresol moiety, which consists of a benzene ring bearing a methyl group and a hydroxyl group at ring positions 1 and 3, respectively. 3-(2-hydroxy-6-methylphenyl)-6a-methyl-9-(2-methyloctanoyl)-9h,9ah-furo[2,3-h]isochromene-6,8-dione is found in Jackrogersella cohaerens. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-(2-hydroxy-6-methylphenyl)-6a-methyl-9-(2-methyloctanoyl)-6H,6aH,8H,9H,9aH-furo[2,3-h]isochromene-6,8-dione.
