DescriptionMethyl 2-[(1S,4aS,5S,5'R,8aR)-5-hydroxy-2,5,5',8a-tetramethyl-4-oxo-4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-4H-spiro[naphthalene-1,2'-oxolane]-5'-yl]acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as abscisic acids and derivatives. These are terpene compounds containing the abscisic acid moiety, which is characterized by a 3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoic acid attached to the C1 carbon of a 4-oxocyclohex-2-ene moiety. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl 2-[(1S,4aS,5S,5'R,8aR)-5-hydroxy-2,5,5',8a-tetramethyl-4-oxo-4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-4H-spiro[naphthalene-1,2'-oxolane]-5'-yl]acetate.
