DescriptionAlpha-D-Glucopyranose 6-acetate, also known as a-D-glucopyranose 6-acetic acid, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as monosaccharides. Monosaccharides are compounds containing one carbohydrate unit not glycosidically linked to another such unit, and no set of two or more glycosidically linked carbohydrate units. Monosaccharides have the general formula CnH2nOn. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroxyoxan-2-yl]methyl acetate is found in Ligularia atroviolacea. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on alpha-D-Glucopyranose 6-acetate.
