Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. (1r,2s,3as,5ar,7s,9as,11ar)-3a-hydroxy-7-[(4-hydroxy-6-methyl-5-{[(2s,3s,5s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl)oxy]-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(5-oxo-2h-furan-3-yl)-tetradecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-2-yl acetate is found in Cryptostegia grandiflora.
