Description1-[(1S,3aR,4R,7S,7aS)-4-methyl-7-(propan-2-yl)-4-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-octahydro-1H-inden-1-yl]ethan-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 1-[(1s,3ar,4r,7s,7as)-7-isopropyl-4-methyl-4-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-octahydroinden-1-yl]ethanone is found in Artemisia gmelinii and Aster koraiensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 1-[(1S,3aR,4R,7S,7aS)-4-methyl-7-(propan-2-yl)-4-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-octahydro-1H-inden-1-yl]ethan-1-one.
