Description | 2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenoxy)-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenolic glycosides. Among the sugar units found in natural glycosides are D-glucose, L-Fructose, and L rhamnose. 2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenoxy)-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Picea abies and Taxodium distichum. 2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenoxy)-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
