| Description | Sinugibberol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 2-[(1r,2e,6r,8r,11e,15r)-6,11,15-trimethyl-7,16-dioxatricyclo[13.1.0.0⁶,⁸]hexadeca-2,11-dien-3-yl]propan-2-ol is found in Sinularia gibberosa. 2-[(1r,2e,6r,8r,11e,15r)-6,11,15-trimethyl-7,16-dioxatricyclo[13.1.0.0⁶,⁸]hexadeca-2,11-dien-3-yl]propan-2-ol was first documented in 1995 (PMID: 7561904). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on sinugibberol. |
