Description3-[3-(2-Hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-6-methoxybenzene-1,2-diol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cinnamylphenols. These are organic compounds containing the 1,3-diphenylpropene moiety with one benzene ring bearing one or more hydroxyl groups. 3-[3-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-6-methoxybenzene-1,2-diol is found in Bussea sakalava. 3-[3-(2-Hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-6-methoxybenzene-1,2-diol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
