Description(2E,4E)-6-[(1R,3R,5R,7R,9S)-3-benzoyl-7-[(1E,3R,5R)-3,5-dimethylhept-1-en-1-yl]-4,4-dimethyl-9-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)-2,8,10-trioxoadamantan-1-yl]-3,4-dimethylhexa-2,4-dienal belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkyl-phenylketones. These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one alkyl group, and a phenyl group. (2e,4e)-6-[(1r,3r,5r,7r,9s)-3-benzoyl-7-[(1e,3r,5r)-3,5-dimethylhept-1-en-1-yl]-4,4-dimethyl-9-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)-2,8,10-trioxoadamantan-1-yl]-3,4-dimethylhexa-2,4-dienal is found in Hypericum sinaicum. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36115695).
