DescriptionCyclamiretin D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (2s,4as,5r,6as,6br,8ar,10s,12ar,12br,14bs)-5,10-dihydroxy-4a-(hydroxymethyl)-2,6a,6b,9,9,12a-hexamethyl-1,3,4,5,6,7,8,8a,10,11,12,12b,13,14b-tetradecahydropicene-2-carbaldehyde is found in Androsace umbellata and Cyclamen repandum. It was first documented in 2008 (PMID: 18985500). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Cyclamiretin D (PMID: 21590653) (PMID: 28173950) (PMID: 26949015) (PMID: 25521557).
