Description(4AR,5S,6R,8aS)-5-[(3R)-4-carboxy-3-methylbutyl]-8a-(hydroxymethyl)-5,6-dimethyl-3,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as colensane and clerodane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the clerodane or the colensane skeleton. Clerodanes arise from labdanes by two methyl migrations. (4ar,5s,6r,8as)-5-[(3r)-4-carboxy-3-methylbutyl]-8a-(hydroxymethyl)-5,6-dimethyl-3,4,4a,6,7,8-hexahydronaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid is found in Olearia teretifolia. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36115695). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on (4aR,5S,6R,8aS)-5-[(3R)-4-carboxy-3-methylbutyl]-8a-(hydroxymethyl)-5,6-dimethyl-3,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid (PMID: 36115691) (PMID: 36115690) (PMID: 36115694) (PMID: 36115693) (PMID: 36115692) (PMID: 36115689).
