Description2',4',6'-Trihydroxy-3'-c-prenylchalcone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-prenylated chalcones. These are chalcones featuring a C5-isoprenoid unit at the 3-position. 3-phenyl-1-[2,4,6-trihydroxy-3-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)phenyl]prop-2-en-1-one is found in Helichrysum cymosum, Helichrysum melanacme, Metalasia cymbifolia and Pleiotaxis rugosa. 2',4',6'-Trihydroxy-3'-c-prenylchalcone is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
