DescriptionPedicularioside N belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oligosaccharides. These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. (2r,3r,4r,5r,6r)-4-{[(2s,3r,4r)-3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-6-[2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)ethoxy]-2-({[(2r,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)oxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Pedicularis striata. It was first documented in 1993 (PMID: 8358852). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Pedicularioside N.
