Description[(2R,3R,4R,5R,6R)-6-[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethoxy]-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxyoxan-3-yl] (E)-3-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acids and derivatives. These are aromatic compounds containing Aromatic compounds containing a cinnamic acid moiety (or a derivative thereof) hydroxylated at the C2 (ortho-), C3 (meta-), or C4 (para-) carbon atom of the benzene ring. (2r,3r,4r,5r,6r)-6-[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethoxy]-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Acanthus ebracteatus, Betonica macrantha, Buddleja davidii, Digitalis purpurea, Euphrasia rostkoviana, Fernandoa adenophylla, Firmiana simplex, Globularia davisiana, Globularia dumulosa, Globularia orientalis, Lamium purpureum, Marrubium alysson, Marrubium velutinum, Osmanthus fortunei, Penstemon secundiflorus, Penstemon serrulatus, Phlomis armeniaca, Phtheirospermum japonicum, Plantago major, Rehmannia glutinosa, Scutellaria orientalis, Sideritis perfoliata, Stachytarpheta cayennensis, Verbena brasiliensis and Volkameria inermis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2R,3R,4R,5R,6R)-6-[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethoxy]-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxyoxan-3-yl] (E)-3-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate.
