Description | 5-Formyl-4,6'-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-2',5',5',8'a-tetramethyl-3',4',4'a,5',6',7',8',8'a-octahydro-2'H,3H-spiro[1-benzofuran-2,1'-naphthalene]-7'-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzofurans. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring fused to a furan. Furan is a five-membered aromatic ring with four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. It was first documented in 1993 (PMID: 36137062).
