| Description | 3-(3-Carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-methylpropyl)-1-hydroxy-4-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalene-2-carboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenolic glycosides. Among the sugar units found in natural glycosides are D-glucose, L-Fructose, and L rhamnose. 3-(3-carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-methylpropyl)-1-hydroxy-4-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalene-2-carboxylic acid is found in Rubia yunnanensis. 3-(3-Carboxy-2-hydroxy-3-methylpropyl)-1-hydroxy-4-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalene-2-carboxylic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
