DescriptionPandamarilactonine A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as butenolides. These are dihydrofurans with a carbonyl group at the C2 carbon atom. (5r)-3-methyl-5-[(2r)-1-{4-[(2e)-4-methyl-5-oxofuran-2-ylidene]butyl}pyrrolidin-2-yl]-5h-furan-2-one is found in Pandanus amaryllifolius. It was first documented in 2008 (PMID: 18763717). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Pandamarilactonine A.
