Description(3,4,5-Trihydroxy-6-{[5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-7-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl)methyl butanoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. (3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-7-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl)methyl butanoate is found in Pedicularis rex. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position (3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-7-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl)methyl butanoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
