| Description | Neoipecoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. methyl (4s,5r,6s)-4-{[(1r)-2-acetyl-7,8-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-1h-isoquinolin-1-yl]methyl}-5-ethenyl-6-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylate is found in Carapichea ipecacuanha. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Neoipecoside. |
