Description | 2,2-Dimethyl-2,6-dihydro-1,11-dioxatetracene-5,9,10-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as xanthenes. These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a xanthene moiety, which consists of two benzene rings joined to each other by a pyran ring. 2,2-dimethyl-6h-1,11-dioxatetracene-5,9,10-triol is found in Calophyllum brasiliense and Kielmeyera pumila. 2,2-Dimethyl-2,6-dihydro-1,11-dioxatetracene-5,9,10-triol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
