| Description | 8,14-Dioxo-8,14-secoabieta-13(15)-ene-18-oic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as enals. These are an alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehyde of general formula RC=C-CH=O in which the aldehydic C=O function is conjugated to a C=C triple bond at the alpha,beta position. (1r,4as,5r,8ar)-1,4a-dimethyl-6-oxo-5-[4-oxo-3-(propan-2-ylidene)butyl]-hexahydro-2h-naphthalene-1-carboxylic acid is found in Pinus massoniana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 8,14-Dioxo-8,14-secoabieta-13(15)-ene-18-oic acid. |
