DescriptionIsochamaecydin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. (1's,4r,5'r,6as,10as)-1-hydroxy-3,5'-diisopropyl-7,7,10a-trimethyl-6a,8,9,10-tetrahydro-6h-spiro[acephenanthrylene-4,2'-bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane]-2,5-dione is found in Chamaecyparis obtusa and Cryptomeria japonica. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Isochamaecydin.
