| Common Name | obovatin methyl ether |
|---|
| Description | Obovatin methyl ether belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyranoflavonoids. Pyranoflavonoids are compounds containing a pyran ring fused to a 2-phenyl-1,4-benzopyran skeleton. Thus, obovatin methyl ether is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. obovatin methyl ether is found in Lonchocarpus costaricensis, Pongamia pinnata, Tephrosia bracteolata, Tephrosia candida and Tephrosia vogelii. Obovatin methyl ether is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
