| Description | 4Beta-Hydroxy-19-normanoyl oxide, also known as 4-bhno CPD, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthopyrans. Naphthopyrans are compounds containing a pyran ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 6 membered-ring non-aromatic ring with five carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (3r,4ar,6ar,7s,10as,10br)-3-ethenyl-3,4a,7,10a-tetramethyl-octahydro-1h-naphtho[2,1-b]pyran-7-ol is found in Grindelia scorzonerifolia. (3r,4ar,6ar,7s,10as,10br)-3-ethenyl-3,4a,7,10a-tetramethyl-octahydro-1h-naphtho[2,1-b]pyran-7-ol was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 15844947). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4beta-Hydroxy-19-normanoyl oxide. |
