Description(8R)-16-hydroxyhexadecan-8-yl (2E)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty alcohols. These are fatty alcohols that have an aliphatic tail of 13 to 21 carbon atoms. (8r)-16-hydroxyhexadecan-8-yl (2e)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Cedrus deodara. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (8R)-16-hydroxyhexadecan-8-yl (2E)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate.
