DescriptionCollinusin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan lactones. These are lignans that contain a lactone moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones, dibenzylbutyrolactone lignans, and podophyllotoxins, among others. 9-(2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-6,7-dimethoxy-3h,3ah,4h-naphtho[2,3-c]furan-1-one is found in Cleistanthus collinus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Collinusin.
