These are ester derivatives of a fatty alcohol. 1-(3,3-dimethyloxiran-2-yl)-7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylnona-3,5,8-trien-1-yl 2-methylbut-2-enoate is found in Acritopappus longifolius, Ageratum fastigiatum, Brickellia diffusa, Moquiniastrum paniculatum and Planaltoa lychnophoroides. 1-(3,3-Dimethyloxiran-2-yl)-7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylnona-3,5,8-trien-1-yl 2-methylbut-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
