Description | [(1S,3S,4aR,5S,7aS)-5-hydroxy-3-methoxy-1-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1H,3H,4H,4aH,5H,7aH-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as iridoid o-glycosides. These are iridoid monoterpenes containing a glycosyl (usually a pyranosyl) moiety linked to the iridoid skeleton. [(1s,3s,4ar,5s,7as)-5-hydroxy-3-methoxy-1-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1h,3h,4h,4ah,5h,7ah-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate is found in Vitex negundo.
