Description(3S,6s,7r)-3,7,11-trimethyl-3,6-epoxy-1,10-dodecadien-7-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tetrahydrofurans. These are heterocyclic compounds containing a saturated, aliphatic, five-membered ring where a carbon is replaced by an oxygen. (2r)-2-[(2s,5s)-5-ethenyl-5-methyloxolan-2-yl]-6-methylhept-5-en-2-ol is found in Dalbergia odorifera. (2r)-2-[(2s,5s)-5-ethenyl-5-methyloxolan-2-yl]-6-methylhept-5-en-2-ol was first documented in 2014 (PMID: 24817581). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3s,6s,7r)-3,7,11-trimethyl-3,6-epoxy-1,10-dodecadien-7-ol.
