Description(+)-Sporotricale belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty alcohols. These are fatty alcohols that have an aliphatic tail of 13 to 21 carbon atoms. (3r)-5-hydroxy-3-[(13r)-13-hydroxy-10-oxotetradecyl]-7-methoxy-3h-2-benzofuran-1-one is found in Sporotrichum laxum. (3r)-5-hydroxy-3-[(13r)-13-hydroxy-10-oxotetradecyl]-7-methoxy-3h-2-benzofuran-1-one was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 17190462). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (+)-Sporotricale.
