DescriptionKorundamine A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthylisoquinolines. These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a naphthalene moiety linked to an isoquinoline through a CC or CN single bond. (1r,3r)-5-{1,1'-dihydroxy-4'-[(3r)-6-hydroxy-8-methoxy-1,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-7-yl]-8,8'-dimethoxy-6,6'-dimethyl-[2,2'-binaphthalen]-4-yl}-1,3-dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-6,8-diol is found in Ancistrocladus korupensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Korundamine A.
